Oleg Syrel

Oleg Syrel is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in R&D and technical development. Currently serving as a Senior Principal R&D Engineer at Ansys since June 2023, Oleg has led the integration of Diakopto's R&D and IT systems into Ansys. Previously, as Chief Software Architect at Diakopto Inc. from September 2018 to May 2023, Oleg oversaw the transition of ideas into successful software products and established the software development infrastructure. Oleg has held various engineering and architectural roles across reputable organizations, including Roche Sequencing Solutions, D2S, and Mentor Graphics, specializing in GPU software, geometric computing, and design rule checking tools. Oleg holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Systems and Software Engineering from Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics.
