Claus Kruyt

Claus Kruyt is a seasoned professional in water management and flood safety, currently serving as a Senior Advisor and Technical Manager for Hoogwaterveiligheid at Antea Group since February 2017. Prior to this role, Claus was a part-time lecturer in flood safety at Hogeschool Rotterdam from February 2017 to August 2019. Claus has extensive experience in the field, including a tenure as Technical Manager of Water Safety and Project Manager at Sweco (formerly Grontmij) from April 2008 to January 2017, and held senior advisory and project leadership positions at Oranjewoud, Rijkswaterstaat, and Rikz. Claus began an academic career as a scientific researcher in Physical Geography at Utrecht University from February 1994 to December 1997, following an education at the same institution where Claus earned a Drs degree in Physical Geography from 1987 to 1992.
