You

  • Are comfortable working with project managers to ensure accuracy of cost and financial reporting for projects
  • Take pride in ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Are exceptional in oral and written communication and know how to communicate effectively

You will

  • Plan, direct and administer all aspects of project accounting including cash management, job costing, contract management and project reporting

  • Reconcile monthly construction progress invoices to contracts and approved change orders

  • Ensure contract payment and holdback release processes are completed in accordance with underlying contracts

  • Manage and maintain construction project trial balances and reconcile GL and WIP

  • Maintain construction standard job cost reports

  • Monitor cash on hand and prepare funding requests to ensure sufficient funds to pay vendors on time

  • Prepare project cash flow and cost projections

  • Prepare monthly construction loan draws and compile documentation for construction financing

  • Review and ensure all construction payable invoices have required backups and approvals.

  • Collaborate with the project team to establish an efficient workflow for invoice processing.

You have

  • A Professional Accounting Designation along with 1+ years of experience in real estate development or construction accounting OR;

  • Bachelor of Business/Commerce, major in Accounting along with 3+ years of experience in real estate development or construction accounting

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Timberline (job costing) or Yardi

  • Experience with cash management, budgeting and financial reporting

  • Proven work experience handling high volumes in a fast-paced work environment with multiple demands.

Salary

  • Estimated between $70,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience.
