Are you detail-oriented with a strong interest in managing financial systems and ensuring organisational efficiency? The ANU Entrepreneurship Club is looking for an Internal Finance Manager to oversee the club’s financial operations, including reimbursements, record-keeping, and capital deployment. In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Team and the President to maintain transparent and accurate financial processes that support the club’s growth and initiatives.
About the role
As the Internal Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial backbone of the club. From processing reimbursements to handling invoices, you will ensure that all financial activities run smoothly. This is a pivotal role that supports the club’s entrepreneurial ventures by enabling sound financial management and strategic capital deployment.
What you’ll do
- Process reimbursements for club members and external stakeholders promptly and accurately.
- Manage and maintain detailed financial records, including budgets, expense reports, and account statements.
- Handle invoicing for payments and services related to club activities and partnerships.
- Assist with capital deployment for club initiatives, ensuring funds are allocated strategically and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with university and Students’ Union financial guidelines, policies, and regulations.
- Provide financial updates and reports to the leadership team to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Finance Team to ensure smooth execution of all financial operations.
- Dedicate 4 hours weekly, including 2 hours in-office, for financial coordination, documentation, and planning.
- Attend team and leadership meetings to align financial objectives with the club’s strategic goals.
What we’re looking for
- A student currently enrolled at ANU with a strong interest or experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Proficiency in financial tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple financial tasks efficiently.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to analyse financial information and provide insights.
- Knowledge of university and Students’ Union financial policies is a plus but not required.
- A genuine interest in entrepreneurship and supporting the club’s mission.
