Lynwen Connick

Chief Information Security Officer at ANZ

Lynwen Connick is currently the Chief Information Security Officer at ANZ. Prior to this, they served as the First Assistant Secretary Information Sharing and Intelligence at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. In this role, they were responsible for improving secure information sharing across the national security community and providing advice to the Prime Minister and Cabinet on intelligence issues.

Connick began their career at the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) in January 1999, where they served as the Assistant Secretary Information Security. In January 2005, they were promoted to First Assistant Secretary (& Deputy Director) Capability ASD, one of the ASD's three Deputy Directors. In this role, they were responsible for ASD technical capability and intelligence collection - including cyber capability - as well as technical capability for the Defence Intelligence Organisation and the Australian Geospatial Organisation (AGO). From August 2012 to November 2013, they served as the First Assistant Secretary ICT reform and Chief Information Security Officer at the Department of Defence.

Lynwen Connick has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Melbourne. Lynwen is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). Lynwen has completed an executive program at the MIT Sloan School of Management in Digitalisation and industrialisation - unlocking the potential of digitisation.

Their manager is Gerard Florian, Group Executive, Technology. They are on a team with and Megan Anderson - Domain Lead Enterprise Data IA.
