Alexandre Demoule is currently the General Secretary at Société de Réanimation de Langue Française (SRLF) Compte Officiel. Prior to that, they served as the Head of the Medical Intensive Care Unit and Weaning Centre - Respiratory Division at AP-HP, Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris. Alexandre also worked as a Professor of Intensive Care Medicine at Sorbonne Université and as a Principal Investigator at Inserm in the UMRs 1158 - Neurophysiologie respiratoire expérimentale et clinique department.

Alexandre Demoule completed a Medical Degree at Université Paris Cité from 1988 to 1994. Alexandre then pursued a Residency Training Program in Adult Respiratory Medicine at the same university from 1995 to 2000. In 2000, they obtained a Master's degree in Respiratory Physiology from Pierre and Marie Curie University. From 2001 to 2002, Alexandre completed a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC). Alexandre also held a Research Fellowship in Respiratory Muscle Physiology at McGill University from 2002 to 2004.
