James J A.

James J A. has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and technology. James J'smost recent role is as a CISO at AP4 Group since March 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Member of the Board of Advisors at Kloch starting from February 2023.

From 2017 to present, James J A. had a role as a Podcast Host for CyberHub Podcast - CISO Talk Podcast, where they hosted several podcasts on cybersecurity. James J also co-founded the podcast and served as the CSO. During this time, they conceptualized an offering to solve complex challenges for organizations, drove cross-organizational digital transformation projects, and developed information security plans aligned with risk management and business operations.

Before that, James J A. held positions such as Chief Information Security Officer at Animo Bancorp from February 2022 to November 2022, where they established a cybersecurity strategy, launched a passwordless product, and operationalized cybersecurity across the entire enterprise and all business lines. James J also worked as a Group Manager - Security Advisory at Avanade from June 2021 to February 2022, leading Microsoft implementation and Azure AD deployment.

In addition, James J A. has experience as a Chief Information Security Officer at Confidential, where they led audits, managed the security budget, and implemented multiple frameworks to reduce IT costs and increase business operations. James J also founded and served as the CTO/CSO for BHNV Ventures, an early seed investment firm focusing on cybersecurity, blockchain, and FinTech.

James J A. also co-founded and served as the CSO of Karinza, a global technology, business development, and marketing consulting firm. James J has traveled across four continents and worked with various organizations in cross-cultural work environments. Lastly, James J A. had a role as VP of Technology at Confidential from March 2009 to September 2010.

James J A attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 2004 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in International Business. In 2007 to 2008, they enrolled at DeVry University to study Computer Science. James J A also holds a certification in Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, obtained in 2021 from Microsoft.
