Colin Reisser

Associate Director at APCO Worldwide

Colin Reisser has a diverse and extensive work experience. Colin started their career in 2005 as an intern at Kerr-Mcgee Oil & Gas OnShore LP, where they supported engineers with well data management. Colin then worked as a production technician at Anadarko Petroleum, specializing in permitting procedures. In 2008, they became an engineer at Well Data Solutions, analyzing well history data for production optimization.

In 2009, Reisser worked as a data analyst at EnergyIQ by Quorum Software and as a contractor at the PPDM Association concurrently. Colin organized and updated databases for client consulting and collaborated on developing the PPDM model. At the German Historical Institute Washington, they coordinated a research project and managed author contributions.

From 2012 to 2014, Reisser worked as a research associate at the Elliott School of International Affairs, contributing to the development of the Arctic Working Group and working as an editor for Demokratizatsiya, an academic journal. Colin then joined EOG Resources as a senior geological technician, conducting technical data analysis for the New Ventures team.

Since 2016, Reisser has been associated with APCO Worldwide. Colin began as a senior account manager, supporting the Corporate Communications Directorate of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. Colin wrote press releases, strategic plans, and analysis for executive leadership. In their subsequent roles as an associate consultant and consultant, they worked on environmental legislative topics and energy and sustainability issues. Currently, they hold the position of associate director, co-leading the Sustainability, Energy, and Mobility practice and specializing in EU chemicals, energy, and circular economy policy. Colin also works with the Global Solutions practice on energy geopolitics, sanctions, and EU accession, with a focus on Russia and the former Soviet Union.

Colin Reisser completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in German and History from the University of Colorado Boulder from 2004 to 2008. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Geography at The George Washington University between 2010 and 2012.
