Gerry Murphy

Gerry Murphy began their career in 1991 as a Software Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC). In 1998, they moved to SMART Modular Technologies as a Senior Software Development Engineer. In 2001, they joined Radisys Corporation as the Integration Services Manager, where they founded and developed a team focused on providing enhanced value-added services. Gerry also managed a high performing department responsible for testing all Radisys system based products. In 2013, they joined APCON as the Director of Quality and Director of QA. In these roles, they managed the Technical Support and Software Quality departments, developed department focused on ensuring highest quality solutions, lead Apcon products through FIPS-140-2 Level 2 certification, engineered a complete rewrite of all test cases, replaced older and outdated tools and applications used in the development cycle, and pushed for a more Agile model.

Gerry Murphy attended the University of Glasgow from 1997 to 1999, earning a Master's degree in Information Technology, Software and Systems. Prior to that, they attended Dundalk Institute of Technology from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained an NCEA Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
