Bakari Boone

Bakari Boone has a diverse range of work experience starting in 2010 as a Server/Host at Applebee's. In 2012, they worked as an Intern at Friendship Public Charter School. In 2013, they interned at Under Armour in the Human Resources department. The following year, they worked as an HR Intern at the Public Broadcasting Service. From 2015 to 2016, Bakari served as the Interim Senior Assistant Director of Recruitment for Targeted Cohorts and Special Enrollment at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. In 2016, they joined Under Armour again, this time as a College Recruiter and Programs Coordinator. Bakari later became a Recruiter, responsible for recruiting top talent and managing all stages of the full cycle recruiting processes. In 2019, Bakari transitioned to Apeel where they initially worked as a Talent Acquisition Specialist and later became a Senior Recruiter & Program Manager.

Bakari Boone attended Lafayette College from 2011 to 2015, where they studied American/United States Studies/Civilization. Bakari earned a Bachelor's degree in the same field of study from Lafayette College. Additionally, in September 2022, Bakari obtained a certification in Diversity Recruiting from LinkedIn.
