Jesse Mills

Jesse Mills has an extensive work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2011, Jesse started as an intern at the Tampa Bay Rays in Minor League Operations/Cultural Enhancement. This was followed by an internship at the Miami Marlins, L.P. in Baseball Operations in 2012.

In 2013, Jesse joined BSports as a Lead Analyst and later transitioned into the role of Product Manager. At BSports, they gained experience in data analysis and product management.

Jesse then joined General Assembly in 2016 as a Teaching Assistant for the Web Development Immersive program. This role allowed them to share their knowledge and assist students in learning web development skills.

Later in 2016, Jesse joined From You Flowers as a Software Developer. They eventually became the Lead Software Developer of H.Bloom, where they led the development of a new order fulfillment system and implemented a PCI compliant credit card entry system. They also worked on deprecating legacy systems and leading the technical team.

In 2019, Jesse joined Fevo as a Senior Software Engineer. They took on various responsibilities, including leading the development of an e-commerce project, rebuilding and re-documenting the Fevo Promo Code implementation, and integrating applications with a third-party feature flag client.

From 2020 to 2023, Jesse worked at Hawthorne. They held multiple positions, starting as a Senior Software Engineer, then transitioning to a Lead Engineer, and finally becoming the Director of Engineering.

Currently, Jesse is employed at Apella as a Senior Software Engineer, starting in 2023.

Jesse Mills pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hispanic Languages and Literatures from The George Washington University, completing their education between 2007 and 2010.
