Your Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical NPI (New Product Introduction) Equipment Planner to lead the planning, development and deployment of new equipment on our manufacturing line. This role involves coordinating project schedules, interdisciplinary coordination and communication, defining equipment requirements, sourcing materials, planning equipment qualifications, and creating comprehensive design documentation. A key aspect of this role is ensuring that machine capacity meets our manufacturing needs by planning for and acquiring necessary equipment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project schedules for the deployment of new equipment as needed. 
  • Regularly Collaborate with design, production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and timely project execution.
  • Monitor project milestones on a regular basis and address potential delays proactively.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and define equipment requirements and translate operational needs into detailed technical specifications while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. 
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for equipment and materials in collaboration with the procurement team to secure necessary components, negotiate contracts and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Oversee the qualification process for new equipment, including installation and performance testing, troubleshooting and resolving issues during the qualification phase. 
  • Develop testing protocols to ensure equipment meets all operational standards when necessary.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including bills of materials (BOM), theories of operation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Manage documentation release in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible. 
  • Continuously analyze current machine capacity to determine if it meets manufacturing needs, plan for and acquire additional equipment as needed to ensure capacity aligns with production demands.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure effective integration of new equipment into the manufacturing process.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in equipment deployment, conduct post-deployment reviews to capture lessons learned and enhance future projects.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in equipment deployment, project management, or a related role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record in managing complex projects.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines and high-quality standards. 
  • Expertise in technical specifications, requirements analysis, and documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, project management tools, and ERP systems.
  • Experience in analyzing machine capacity and planning for equipment needs.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is highly desirable.
  • This role requires occasional travel to supplier sites and manufacturing locations.

Pay Range: $125,000 - $150,000

*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
