Paul Puglisi has held a variety of positions since 2008. Paul began their career as a Soccer Referee for the National Illinois Soccer League (NISL) and Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA). In 2010, they became a Facilitator at Just For Kicks Soccer Complex. From 2014 to 2015, they held multiple positions at the University of Iowa, including Research Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Repository Intern, and Textbook Clerk. In 2015, they also served as a Fall Fellowship Intern at NextGen Climate. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Graduate Researcher, Laboratory Manager, and Research Associate 1 and 2 at Acuitive Technologies INC. Currently, they are a Facilities and Lab Management Associate at Apertura Gene Therapy, where their primary responsibilities include Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) lab management, office and facilities operations, procurement, supply chain, and lab safety.
Paul Puglisi received their High School Diploma from Plainfield North High School in 2012. Paul then attended the University of Iowa, where they earned a Bachelor of Science and Engineering (B.S.E) in Biomedical Engineering in 2016. After that, they continued their education at Northwestern University, where they obtained a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering in 2018.
