The Lead Technician reports to the Water Mitigation Project Manager. The Lead Technician attends daily morning meeting to determine daily schedule. The Lead Technician executes every item listed on work orders assigned for the day. The  Lead Technician is responsible on the job site for demolition, setting drying equipment, and any other needed mitigation tasks assigned. The Lead Technician directs the laborers in daily tasks and documents the laborers' hours worked on each job to ensure payment. The Lead Technician notifies the Superintendent once all tasks on scope are complete in order for work order to be processed for payment. The Lead Technician is responsible for properly stocking work vehicle to ensure laborers have the correct amount of supplies needed for daily tasks. The Lead Technician must maintain a neat and clean work site and ensure all project personnel are operating a safe jobsite per OSHA requirements and Apex Restoration DKI policy and procedures.

Accountabilities:

  • Exceptional skills in communication, organization, teamwork, accuracy, attention to detail, time management, conflict resolution, and cost management

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Utilize document management software

  • Must actively practice leadership abilities as one of the leaders of the mitigation team

  • Must consistently strive to learn, implement, and maintain strong understanding of mitigation operations and procedures

  • Foster positive relationships with team members and clients

  • Anticipate, prevent and solve problems

  • Field customer questions & concerns, and resolve all issues, working with appropriate staff

  • Complete weekly vehicle inspection and maintain vehicle cleanliness

  • Ensure every job site is clean and safe at all times

  • May work 40+ hours per week

  • May be on call during catastrophic events

  • Perform other responsibilities as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Exceptional skills in communication, organization, teamwork, accuracy, attention to detail, time management, conflict resolution, and cost management
  • Knowledge of insurance claim procedures, standards and guidelines a plus
  • Knowledge of insurance claim procedures, standards and guidelines are a plus
  • Have or willing to obtain restoration certifications through the IICRC
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
  • Must be able to enter confined spaces and climb ladders
  • Must maintain clean and professional appearance at all times
  • Valid Driver’s License & eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • No felony convictions

Compensation:

  • Base rate of $17 per hour, with potential to earn up to $35 - $45 per hour
  • After hours bonus per job
