Sarah Young, MPH, is a Global Health Specialist at the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) since April 2017, overseeing laboratory system strengthening initiatives in Africa and Asia, coordinating with CDC and health ministries, and managing contracts and budgets totaling approximately $8 million. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, where responsibilities included managing grant submissions and projects related to asthma care and patient engagement. Previously, Sarah worked as the Special Projects and Membership Coordinator for the Society for Maternal and Fetal Medicine, managing a membership database and supporting various health-related projects. An educational background in Public Health includes a Master’s Degree from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and a Bachelor’s Degree from Tulane University.
