Tim Ferguson has over 25 years of work experience in various technology and digital leadership roles. Tim is currently the Head of Technology Operations at APM Terminals. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Engineering Director at A.P. Moller - Maersk, where they were responsible for technology operations and end user technology. Tim also served as the Director of Digital Channels & eCommerce, where they led the development and delivery of Maersk Line's digital channels. Before joining Maersk, Tim was the Head of Digital at Aviva plc, where they oversaw the development and optimization of Aviva's UK digital assets. Tim also held the role of Digital Programme Manager at RAC, where they managed the delivery of online solutions for various motoring services websites. Earlier in their career, Tim worked as a Programme Manager at Oberthur Technologies, overseeing the delivery of projects in the banking, pay-per-view, and mobile telecommunications industries. Tim began their professional journey as a Solutions Architect and Project Manager at Norwich Union Insurance Limited, where they planned and delivered strategic IT projects. Overall, Tim Ferguson has a strong and diverse background in technology leadership and digital transformation.
Tim Ferguson attended Wymondham College from 1983 to 1990. In 2014, they obtained a Digital Marketing Diploma from Shaw Academy. In 2020, they completed a Leadership course at Oxford Leadership and also received an Inspiring Maersk Senior Leadership degree from IMD.
