Jolien Paalman

Chief of Staff to CEO at Apollo Agriculture

Jolien Paalman is the current Chief of Staff to the CEO at Apollo Agriculture. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Leader at Boston Consulting Group from November 2016 to October 2021. During their time there, they worked on the 'House of the Future' project, which was a week-long event that focussed on the cooperation between South Africa and the Netherlands in business, education and government. Jolien Paalman has also worked as an intern in the Economic Affairs department at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in South Africa from September 2015 to March 2016. In this role, they also worked on the 'House of the Future' project. Prior to their work in the public sector, Paalman worked as a student assistant at Erasmus School of Economics from October 2014 to August 2015 and as a member of the Supervisory Board at Economic Faculty Association Rotterdam from September 2013 to July 2015. Paalman began their working career as an English teacher at SSL Leiden from January 2013 to July 2013.

Jolien Paalman has a Master's Degree in International Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, an International Bachelor Economics and Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and a Global Politics, Management Skills, French B1 from the University of Technology Sydney. Jolien also has a Gymnasium in Dutch, English, Latin, Mathematics B, Science, Physics, Biology, Economics from Gymnasium Apeldoorn.

Jolien Paalman reports to Eli Pollak, Founder & CEO. They work with Benjamin Njenga - Co-Founder & Chief Customer Officer, Sarah Huber - Chief Strategy Officer, and Earl St. Sauver - Chief Technology Officer.
