Johana Maria Florez Lozano

Johana Maria Florez Lozano is an accomplished Data Scientist Lead in R&D at Appgate since January 2021, with extensive experience in academia and engineering. As a PhD candidate and adjunct lecturer at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since January 2010, Johana has contributed significantly to the field, also serving as a researcher in various capacities, including assistant to the doctoral program and research assistant funded by Colciencias. Johana held a postdoctoral research position at RIVAR Engineering SAS from September 2021 to September 2022, focused on innovative technological tools for urban traffic information collection. Earlier, Johana worked as an automation engineer at Schneider Electric and a control engineer at PLC CONTROL SAS. Johana holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, all from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
