Lauren Barricklow is a seasoned professional in community health and education, currently serving as a Community Health Worker at AppHealthCare since January 2022. With extensive experience as a Migrant Education Program Coordinator at Alleghany County Schools from August 2012 to June 2015, Lauren focused on supporting migrant students and families through various educational initiatives. Previous roles include serving as a Community Health Advocate for the CDC's Communities Putting Prevention to Work initiative, leading health education projects with Curamericas Global, and working as a Development and International Cooperation Officer at CATHALAC. Earlier experiences also include community development work with the Peace Corps, activism with Appalachian Voices, and teaching roles in local schools. Lauren holds a Master of Science in Integrative and Functional Nutrition from Saybrook University and additional degrees in Gerontology and Environmental Policy & Planning from Appalachian State University.
