Alex Babayan

Alex Babayan has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Alex is currently the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Appia Bio, a position they have held since February 2023. Previously, they worked at Instil Bio as the Vice President - Head of Regulatory from December 2019 to February 2023. Prior to that, Alex worked as a Consultant at Advanced Cell Therapy Consulting Group from September 2019 to December 2019. Alex also held various positions at Kite Pharma, including Director from December 2018 to June 2019, Associate Director from March 2017 to December 2018, and Manager from June 2014 to March 2017. Before joining Kite Pharma, Alex worked as a Scientific Consultant at Thuris Corp. from January 2013 to June 2014 and as an Associate at Amgen from June 2013 to May 2014.

Alex Babayan holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from UC Irvine. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at UCLA, where they earned a B.S. degree in Physiology. No specific start and end dates were provided for either educational experience.
