Elise Guo

Elise Guo has a strong background in software quality assurance with over 20 years of experience in various industries. Elise started their career at Schlumberger as a Software Engineer in 1995 and then moved on to Sun Microsystems, where they served as a Member of Technical Staff. At Sun Microsystems, they supervised global IT projects and played a key role in building web applications. Elise later joined Incyte Genomics as a Senior Software Engineer before transitioning to McAfee as a Senior Software QA Engineer.

At McAfee, Elise played a crucial role in test planning and execution for the Intrusion Prevention product line. Elise successfully scaled up the test lab with networking and security devices and managed configurations through a centralized EMS. Following their time at McAfee, Elise worked at Hologic and Genomic Health as a Senior Software QA Engineer.

In 2007, Elise joined Tesla Motors as a Senior Software QA Engineer, where they acted as the Voice of Quality for their online innovation program. Elise oversaw the operations of touchscreen kiosks and tablet apps in all retail stores worldwide and also developed a test automation harness from scratch.

After their time at Tesla Motors, Elise joined Bill.com as a Senior Quality Engineer, where they expanded the test automation framework for API and UI. Elise crafted a test strategy and implemented innovative automation for complex accounting workflows.

Most recently, Elise has been working at Applause as an Onsite Lead Test Engineer. In this role, they represent Applause as a lead consultant for a prominent enterprise software company. Elise oversees and manages crowdsourced test cycles for 20+ products, focusing on technical details and driving the standardization of the test process and resource distribution to streamline and shorten the feedback loop.

Elise Guo has a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biology at Sun Yat-sen University.
