Biren Shah

Biren Shah has extensive experience in technology and engineering leadership spanning over two decades. From March 2014 to July 2023, Biren held key positions at Apple including Head of Data Services for Apple Cloud and Senior Engineering Leader for Apple Services Engineering. Prior to Apple, Biren served as Director of Platform Engineering Development at Visa, focusing on Visa Checkout, and as Engineering Manager/Lead Engineer at HP, where oversight of the Integrated Archive Platform was provided. Additional experience includes a role as Technical Lead at Yahoo!, overseeing large-scale re-architecture projects, and as a Research Scientist at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where research prototypes were developed into marketable products. Biren holds a PhD and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
