Francesco Paterna is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in system performance modeling and thermal management in electronics. Currently serving as a System Performance Modeling Architect at Apple since September 2019, Francesco previously worked as a Research Scientist at Intel Corporation, where expertise in SoC virtual platforms was developed. Notably, Francesco's postdoctoral research at UC San Diego involved creating a comprehensive thermal model of smartphones, while contributions at Brown University focused on active cooling solutions for multicore processors.
