Connor Soohoo has worked in various roles in the software engineering and research fields since 2012. In 2015, they were a Research Intern at NASA Ames Research Center, where they researched, designed, and developed a detector for signs of life on Europa. Connor also worked as an HCI Researcher at Gates Computer Science at Stanford University, where they designed, built, and tested an Android holistic wellness app to promote exercise and sustainability. In 2017, they were a Network Software Engineer at Mimosa Networks, where they built, tested, and published the Mimosa Install app on the Apple App and Google Play stores. Connor also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Virtualitics, Inc., where they developed a Python API for data scientists to execute machine learning routines. In 2019, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Zoox. In 2020, they worked as an Engineering at Applied Intuition. Connor also worked as a Graduate Researcher at Caltech, where they refactored a Machine Learning topics course to be a competition to predict daily COVID19 fatalities on a county-by-county basis for the entire US. Connor also served as a Computer Science Instructor and TA, and as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Caltech Center for Autonomous Systems.
Connor Soohoo attended Cañada College from 2009 to 2016, where they earned a degree in Computer Science in the field of Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services. Connor then attended Caltech from 2016 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science. In addition, they obtained a Communication Foundations certification from LinkedIn in July 2019.
