Sam Serpoosh

Sam Serpoosh has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Sam started their career as a Software Engineer and Programming Coach at Tednap, where they designed and programmed various systems. Sam then worked as a Programmer at Grand Rapids GiveCamp for a short period. Sam Serpoosh continued their career at Grand Valley State University as a Research & Development Graduate Assistant, where they worked on projects related to contextual computing, gamification, and mobile applications. Sam also had an internship as a Software Engineer at Groupon, working on automated merchandising. Later, they joined Groupon as a Software Engineer in both Behavioral Modeling and Automated Merchandising roles, utilizing technologies such as Kafka, Spark, and Hadoop. Sam Serpoosh transitioned to Uber as a Software Engineer, where they worked on projects like Mystique, Gairos Long Term Storage, and Gairos OLAP. In their most recent position at Facebook, they served as a Senior Software Engineer in the Community Intelligence team, working on the Recommendation Delivery Stack. In 2023, Sam Serpoosh joined Applied Intuition in an engineering role.

Sam Serpoosh has a diverse education history. Starting from 2003 to 2007, they attended Salam Dibaji where they earned a Diploma in Mathematics and Physics. Following that, from 2007 to 2012, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science at Shahid Beheshti University. In 2012, they furthered their education by enrolling in Grand Valley State University, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science, completing the program in 2014. Building on their academic achievements, in 2019 and 2020, they attended Harvard Business School Online and completed two Certificate Programs. The first program they completed was in Leadership, and the second was in Culture.
