Ralph Balaban

Ralph Balaban has been an Automation Engineer at Applied Manufacturing Technologies since 2020, where they have developed control software and operator interfaces from scratch. In 2020, they also worked as a Controls Engineer for the Material Handling Industry, where they acquired experience with roller/transfer chain motor controllers/VFD configuration and RS Logix Designer. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Senior Controls Engineer at FRIMO North America, systems integrators, where they completed a challenging Controls project over their seasoned Controls engineers. From 2015 to 2018, they were a Controls Engineer at Creform Corporation, where they developed PAC/PLC code/HMI screens for AGV automated battery charging, start sequence, course selection management, and intersection traffic control. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Controls Engineer at Intra Corporation. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Controls Engineer for Water/Wastewater Process Control, where they edited RSLogix 5000, FT View SE SCADA graphics, and developed RSLogix 5000 program to automate start-up, dry-out, and warm-up sequence of natural gas-powered, 12 burner, 280 I/O points sludge incinerator. From 2012 to 2007, they were a Controls Engineer at Comau and INNOVAtive SYStems, LLC, where they wrote Beckhoff PAC TwinCAT ladder logic, structured text, servo motion programs, and configured and programmed InduSoft Web Studio HMI applications. From 2007 to 2002, they were a Controls Manufacturing Support at Rayconnect, Inc., where they completed automation projects addressing machine/assembly line productivity, quality, traceability, and scrap rate issues.

Ralph Balaban graduated from Technical University with a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Electric Machines-architecture and applications, Power Electronic Converter topology/applications. Ralph is currently enrolled at Macomb Community College, working towards professional certifications.
