Ravina Charekar

Ravina Charekar has a diverse range of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Ravina began their career as a Research Trainee at SUN PHARMA, where they gained exposure to R&D formulation development and the operation of industrial-scale machines. Ravina then joined Alkem Laboratories Ltd. as a Research Associate, where they worked on developing IR and ER formulations for the US market and was involved in various projects such as risk assessment and designing DOE trials.

Ravina then moved on to SUN PHARMA as a Senior Research Scientist, focusing on the development of IR and ER dosage forms for the US market. Ravina was responsible for preparing technical documents and generating data to respond to regulatory queries.

In 2021, Ravina joined Vaxcyte as an Associate Scientist, where they worked on developing and characterizing vaccines for pneumococcal diseases. Ravina'sresponsibilities included characterizing proteins, performing particle size analysis, and utilizing various techniques such as UNCLE, SLS, DLS, and BMI.

Currently, Ravina is working at Applied Molecular Transport as an Associate Scientist, contributing to the development and characterization of oral solid biologics for targeted drug delivery in lower GIT. Ravina is also managing in-house stability programs and conducting protein purity analysis.

Throughout their career, Ravina has gained experience in various aspects of pharmaceutical development, including formulation development, regulatory compliance, technical document preparation, and data generation.

Ravina Charekar obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from Government College of Pharmacy Aurangabad, which they attended from 2011 to 2015. Ravina then pursued a Master's Degree in Phamaceutics at SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) from 2015 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Ravina obtained several certifications. In December 2016, they completed a course on Design Thinking at Balwant Sheth School of Architecture. In January 2016, they obtained a certification in General Course on Intellectual Property from the World Intellectual Property Organization. In August 2015, they received a certification in Drug Regulatory from the Institute of Intellectual Property Studies NMIMS.
