Nathan Tatum

Engineer: Physiology Modeling And Simulation at Applied Research Associates, Inc.

Nathan Tatum is an experienced engineer specializing in physiology modeling and simulation, currently serving as a Staff Engineer on the BioGears project at ARA since May 2018. Prior to this role, Nathan worked as a Graduate Research Intern at the Michael W. Krzyzewski Human Performance Laboratory, focusing on biomechanics and injury prevention models, and as an intern at Scinovia Corp. involved in product development for medical devices. Nathan's research experience includes work at the Duke University Dynamical Systems Research Laboratory, analyzing heart rate dynamics, and at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine, investigating knee cartilage damage simulation techniques. Nathan holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Miami.
