Gavin Estey

Gavin Estey has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and digital agencies. Gavin started their career in 2001 as a Web Developer at Bock Interactive, where they provided e-commerce and Yahoo! Store consulting. Gavin then joined MyKnobs.com, Inc as a Technology Manager, where they played a key role in developing the company's online strategy and growing sales.

In 2010, Gavin joined Endeca as a Technical Consultant, where they worked on deploying and integrating Endeca enterprise search products for various customers. Gavin was involved in all aspects of the projects, including data ingest, schema design, and performance tuning.

In 2012, they joined Oracle as a Principal Consultant, working on Endeca implementations with large partners and validating project plans as a project architect. Gavin later moved to Tacit Knowledge as a Senior Consultant, where they served as the Onshore Technical Lead for Converse.com's platform during the holiday period.

From 2013 to 2016, Gavin worked at AAXIS Commerce as a Senior Endeca Practice Lead. Gavin created an Endeca practice within the company, recruited a team, and provided expertise in Oracle Commerce and Oracle Marketing Cloud.

Gavin then joined SapientRazorfish in 2016 as a Director of Technology, where they served until 2019. In this role, they contributed to technical leadership and oversaw various projects.

From 2019 to 2020, Gavin held roles at United Virtualities | We Are UV, serving as the Director of Client Solutions and later as the Vice President for the West region. Gavin provided technical and strategic leadership, and played a key role in sales, delivery, and working with key clients.

Currently, Gavin is employed at Appnovation since 2020, where they have held multiple roles including Technical Director, Group Director of Technology, and currently serves as the VP Technology for the Americas region.

Gavin Estey earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Computer Science from the University of Southampton. In 2015, they obtained certification as an Oracle Commerce 11 Guided Search Development Certified Implementation Specialist.
