James Gillies

James Gillies has worked in the software engineering and development field since 2011. James began their career at Cloudreach Limited as a Dev/Ops Engineer, where they predominantly worked in operations, 2nd and 3rd line support for a range of customer platforms. James was heavily involved in developing the monitoring platform and corresponding processes. In 2014, they joined Zonal Retail Data Systems as a Sysadmin (Platform and Core Systems Lead), System Administrator, and Technical Services Analyst. In 2018, they worked as a Software Developer at Ur App Pro and then as a Software Developer in training at CodeClan. Currently, they are employed as a Software Engineer at Appointedd.

James Gillies has a varied educational background. In 2004, they began studying Biological Sciences at The University of Edinburgh, graduating with a BSc in 2008. In 2010, they obtained a HNC in Computer Networking from Stevenson College. In 2018, they attended CodeClan, a coding bootcamp. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including MCTS: Windows 7, Configuration from Microsoft in 2011, CompTIA A+ (2009 Edition) from CompTIA in 2010, and Google Apps Deployment Specialist from Google in 2012.
