Virginia John has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. In 1999, they began their career as a Healthcare Practice Area Systems Analyst Team Lead/Test Team Lead for VMJM (Self-employed). In 2003, they joined Northrop Grumman as an Agile Process Manager, CISD Director of Test, and ICS Systems Analyst Lead/Test Team Lead. In 2008, they moved to VMJM (Self Employed) sub to Harris, Corporation as a Deployment Lead for the CONNECT Solution. In 2010, they became a Defect Manager for Chapter 33 at VMJM, Inc (Self Employed) contracted by Agilex, Corporation. In 2011, they were hired as a Harris- Kaiser Permanente Implementation Lead at VMJM, Inc (Self Employed) contracted by Harris Corporation. In 2013, they were appointed as Testing Team Lead, Requirements Lead, Production Support Lead at VMJM, Inc (Self employed) contracted by HVHC. From 2014 to 2021, they worked at Kaiser Permanente as a Telehealth Product Manager and HIE Solution Consultant Specialist. In 2021, they were hired as Vice President of Product Management at Caregility. Currently, they are the Senior Director of Product Excellence and Resilience at ApprioHealth.

Virginia John has a long and varied educational history. From 1974 to 1987, they attended Good Hope School and obtained their pre-Kindergarten to High School Diploma. Virginia then attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained their BS in Mathematics. Finally, they attended Stanford University from 1994 to 1995, where they obtained their MS in Engineering Management. In addition to their formal education, Virginia John has obtained several certifications, including Leading SAFe 5.0 from Scaled Agile, Inc. in December 2020, Build Certified and Focus Certified from Pragmatic Institute in November 2019, SAFe 4 Practitioner Certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in May 2019, Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in December 2015, and Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in April 2007.
