David Speights

David Speights, PhD has over two decades of experience in leadership roles in analytics and data science. David most recently served as the Vice President of Analytics at Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Data Scientist at Appriss, where they managed a team responsible for modeling, analytics, and data management across multiple business units. David also had a long tenure as Chief Data Scientist at The Retail Equation, where they developed and implemented analytic strategies for the company. Earlier in their career, they held senior roles at Washington Mutual and HNC Software, where they oversaw credit modeling and managed teams responsible for modeling and analytics.

David Speights, PhD has a strong background in the field of education, with a focus on biostatistics. David earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, with an emphasis on Statistics, from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona between 1989 and 1993. Building on this foundation, they went on to pursue further education at UCLA, where they completed both their Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Biostatistics from 1993 to 1997.
