James Dainty has a diverse work experience starting from 1984. James worked as an Apprentice Draughtsman and Toolmaker at C.S Toolcraft from 1984 to 1988. James then worked as a Senior Engineer at HDA Forgings from 1994 to 1995. After that, they joined PTC in 1995 and held various roles including Instructor/Consultant, Senior Consultant, Project Manager, Learning Architect, Business Development Manager, and Northern European Business Manager. James was responsible for training, consulting, and managing teams. In 2009, they became the UK Client Manager at PTC, where they worked until 2013. In 2013, they joined aPriori Technologies as a Client Engagement Manager and later became the Commercial Director. In both roles, they focused on reducing product costs, improving manufacturability, and increasing profits. Their experience includes working with clients in various industries such as aerospace, defense, industrial, hi-tech, retail, and consumer.

James Dainty has a Master's Degree in Advanced Manufacturing Technology, obtained from Nottingham Trent University in 1992-1993. Prior to that, they earned a Diploma in Computer Aided Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University in 1991-1992. Their earliest education is in Mechanical Engineering, completed at Oxford Brookes University from 1988 to 1991.
