Sami Townsend

Sami Townsend is a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist with extensive experience working with diverse age groups and abilities. Currently employed at Aptakisic-Tripp CCSD 102 since July 2019, Sami specializes in early learning for children aged 3-5. Prior roles include serving as a Clinical Fellow at Deerfield Public Schools District 109 and a Paraprofessional at the Special Education District of Lake County, where support was provided to students with severe Autism Spectrum Disorder. Internships at institutions such as Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and UI Health facilitated hands-on experience in various clinical settings, enhancing intervention skills across multiple domains including expressive language, social pragmatics, and executive function. Formal education includes a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Miami University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Iowa.
