William T. Presley

SVP, COO & President, Signal & Power Solutions at Aptiv

Bill Presley is senior vice president and chief operating officer of Aptiv, a position he has held since December 2022 and continues as president, signal & power solutions.

Mr. Presley is responsible for commercial performance and operating excellence in the Signal & Power Solutions (S&PS) and Advanced Safety & User Experience (AS&UX) segments to enable better cross-segment collaboration that will accelerate our path to delivering Smart Vehicle Architecture™ (SVA™) and leverage our unique portfolio of advanced “brain” and “nervous system” solutions spanning both hardware and software.

Mr. Presley joined Aptiv in January 2019 as president of the electrical distribution systems business unit. In September 2020, he was appointed senior vice president and president, signal & power solutions.

Bill has worked in the automotive industry since 1994, when he started his engineering career at Chrysler Corporation. Throughout his 14 years at Chrysler Corporation, he worked in many functional areas, including EMC Testing Labs, Electronics, Product Design Studios and Vehicle Development.

In 2008, Bill joined Lear Corporation as the North American General Motors Electrical Program Management leader. Between 2008 and 2019, he held various positions at Lear Corporation, including Vice President of the Wire Harness and Component Business Unit, Director of Core Engineering and Global Director of Engineering for Electrical Distribution Systems.

Bill also served in the U.S. Army and the Michigan Army National Guard for 13 years which included 10 years as a Field Artillery Officer.

He graduated from Norwich Military University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. In addition, Bill holds a Master of Engineering degree with a concentration in Electromagnetic Physics from the University of Detroit and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Oakland University.
