Dr. Robert E. Lewis is Vice President and Chief Assessor for APTMetrics. In this role he is responsible for the quality of APTMetrics’ individual assessment services, including overseeing assessment process and custom simulation development across clients, developing and maintaining the firm’s talent pool for delivering assessments, and delivering assessments. Over his 30+ years in the field he has assessed thousands of executives, including several hundred for C-suite roles. In addition, he has consulted with executive team and boards to help them apply the science of industrial-organizational psychology to foster better succession, leader development, and diversity and inclusion practices. Bob joined APTMetrics in 2008. Prior to that he held roles in the retail and high-tech industries and worked for nearly a decade with a large assessment firm eventually leading their largest office and, later, reconstituting their research group. Bob contributes regularly to the profession through his publications, presentations, and service on committees. He holds an adjunct lecturer position with the University of Washington-Bothell School of Business regularly teaching courses on leadership and high-performance teams. Bob earned his BA degree in economics and psychology from Claremont McKenna College and his MA and Ph.D. in industrialorganizational psychology from Rice University. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and the Society of Consulting Psychology. He is a licensed psychologist in the state of Washington.
