Greg Kidd has over 40 years of work experience. Greg started their career in 1979 as a Leader for the National Outdoor Leadership School. In 1984, they became a Senior Associate for Booz Allen Hamilton, focusing on transaction processing intensive industries such as telecoms, financial services, and transportation. In 1991, they founded and became Chairman of Dispatch Management Services Corp / dNet, creating dispatch software and a clearing house for messenger deliveries. In 2002, they became a Senior Analyst for the Federal Reserve Board, focusing on check and ACH clearing systems as well as private sector money transfer systems. In 2004, they became a Consultant and Director for Promontory Financial Group, LLC, providing consultation on risk with an emphasis on reporting and visualization of risk metrics. In 2010, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Hard Yaka, making early round investments in exchange space startups. In 2013, they became the Chief Risk Officer of Ripple Labs. In 2014, they became the Co-Founder of Apto Payments. In 2016, they became a Director of GlobaliD, a neutral and portable identity framework. Finally, in 2019, they became the Founding Partner of True Global Ventures, investing across 3 verticals in web3.

Greg Kidd obtained an AB in History from Brown University in 1981. Greg then went on to receive an MBA from Yale University in 1984, specializing in Operations Research, Strategy, Organizational Behavior, and Game Theory. In 2001, they earned an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School in Public Policy. In 2009, they attended Stanford University to study Human Computer Interface (HCI), but did not obtain a degree.
