About The Role:
We are seeking an exceptional and strategic Exchange Partnership Lead to spearhead our global exchange strategy. This senior role is critical to the success of Aptos Labs, directly responsible for driving the adoption and growth of the Aptos ecosystem through strategic partnerships with major global digital asset exchanges and on-ramps. You will deliver on ambitious company-wide objectives by establishing, growing, and managing relationships that are central to our commercial success.
You will be directly responsible for:
- Setting and achieving ambitious, high-impact business goals that align with the company's overall objectives.
- Owning, cultivating and expanding strategic partnerships with leading global organizations, particularly digital asset exchanges and on-ramps, to accelerate the adoption and growth of the Aptos ecosystem.
- Leading the execution and providing strategic oversight for commercial agreements with a diverse range of ecosystem partners, driving the utilization of Aptos’s suite of products and services.
- Designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive growth strategy aimed at maximizing ROI from crypto asset exchange initiatives.
- Innovating partnership models that effectively combine Aptos’s strengths with those of our partners to drive substantial business growth.
- Bringing a high level of strategic and operational discipline to the Global Ecosystem team.
What you'll work on:
- Collaborate closely with Aptos leadership and key stakeholders to develop and execute a robust go-to-market and partnership strategy tailored for key digital asset exchanges.
- Drive the origination and management of a diverse portfolio of partnership opportunities, ensuring sustained momentum and successful execution of GTM plans for strategic initiatives.
- Create and refine partnership strategies aimed at boosting adoption of Aptos’s ecosystem solutions and identifying opportunities for beta product validation.
- Partner with Aptos’s product and business teams to customize Aptos’s offerings to meet the specific needs of exchange partners.
- Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with key decision-makers within exchange ecosystems to deepen and expand these critical partnerships.
- Deliver market insights and strategic feedback to Aptos’s leadership, helping to shape product and business strategies.
- Work in close coordination with XFN teams to validate market hypotheses, create go-to-market strategies, and secure deals with top-tier exchange partners.
- Foster a team culture that embodies high integrity, collaboration, customer focus, data-driven decision-making, and a proactive, optimistic approach.
- Identify and spearhead the development of new programs, resources, and capabilities essential for capturing new business opportunities and meeting company-level OKRs.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in business development, particularly within the Web3 or financial services sectors, with deep knowledge of the financial services landscape, including regulatory environments, industry trends, and market dynamics.
- Extensive experience in the cryptocurrency sector, with a solid understanding of the key players, products, and industry trends.
- Proven ability to navigate and bridge cultural differences, working effectively across diverse geographies.
- A strong track record of building and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders and successfully negotiating complex partnerships.
- Ability to work autonomously, managing multiple high-priority projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin at a business level.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to engage with global partners and drive business outcomes.
