Derek Lowrey

Derek Lowrey serves as the Head of Commercial Legal and Associate General Counsel at Aptos Labs since September 2023. Concurrently, Derek is a Founding Member and Legal & Regulatory Advisor at Arrow, where responsibilities include managing legal, regulatory, financial, and employment matters for a decentralized community focused on aerial transportation. Prior experience includes eight years at Meta as Associate General Counsel, handling commercial and technology transactions for Reality Labs, and a tenure at Squire Patton Boggs as a Technology Transactions Attorney. Additional roles include externships with the United States District Court and various law firms, as well as a Business Affairs internship at Lucasfilm. Derek holds a JD in Intellectual Property from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a BA in Political Science and History from UCLA.
