David McDiarmid

David McDiarmid has a diverse work experience in finance and research. David currently holds the position of Executive Director, Research Engineering at AQR Capital Management since April 2020. Prior to this, they worked at the same company as Vice President, Futures Research from July 2014 to March 2019. David also has experience as an Assistant Trader and Quantitative Software Developer at Belvedere Trading, LLC from July 2013 to July 2014. David started their career as a Trading Intern at Wolverine Trading in June 2012. David has also worked as a Research Fellow and SESAME Instructor at the University of Chicago Mathematics REU in June-August 2011. David began their professional journey as a Premium Finance Intern at STP Enterprises in June-September 2010.

David McDiarmid has pursued a comprehensive education in the field of science and mathematics. David began their academic journey in 2009 at the University of Chicago, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics, completing their studies in 2013. David furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Statistics from the University of Chicago, which they accomplished from 2012 to 2013. To enhance their knowledge and skill set, David then embarked on a higher level of education at the Georgia Institute of Technology. From 2019 to 2021, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science. As their educational background demonstrates, David's academic trajectory has focused on developing a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
