Kapil Garg

Kapil Garg has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kapil currently holds the position of Vice President - Quant Research & Development at AQR Capital Management, which they started in September 2021.

Before their current role, Kapil worked at Seven Lakes Technologies as a Sr. Tech. Lead from June 2019 to September 2021. In this role, they led an engineering team in designing and developing a highly scalable data platform using various technologies such as Python, AWS, NodeJS, C#, Asp. Net, and Apache Spark. The platform utilized a microservice architecture and employed big data/spark processing on AWS, creating a highly asynchronous and event-driven system with high throughput.

From July 2018 to June 2019, Kapil was a Vice President at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Prior to that, they held various roles at Goldman Sachs from December 2010 to July 2018. At Goldman Sachs, they served as a Vice President, leading application development in the productivity and telephony space. Kapil also architected and developed a recommendation system based on user behavior for app services. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Analyst Developer, building productivity apps in the collaboration space and designing and developing info boundary products and applications for enterprise email communication using technologies such as C#, Asp. net, Angular, and Web-API.

Kapil's earlier work experience includes roles at EMC Data Storage Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd as a Practice Consultant (Microsoft Technologies) from May 2008 to December 2010, at Infosys as a Software Engineer from December 2005 to May 2008, and at Tata Motors as an Engineer from July 2004 to December 2005.
