Mark Walton

Mark Walton has a diverse work history beginning as an Alfalfa Breeder and Forage Research Director at FFR Cooperative in 1979. Mark then went on to co-found and serve as President of Linkage Genetics, a DNA testing service company, from 1990 to 2000. After that, they held various executive roles in companies such as RiceTec, ViaGen Inc., Recombinetics, and AquaBounty Technologies Inc. Mark also founded MWalton Enterprises LLC and Feed the Real World to support their entrepreneurial ventures.

Mark Walton holds a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from New Mexico State University, obtained from 1971 to 1975. Mark continued their education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, earning a Master of Science in Plant Breeding and Genetics from 1975 to 1977, followed by a Ph.D. in the same field from 1977 to 1979.
