At Aquatic, we are actively recruiting for a Research & Development Business Operations Manager. In this role, you will work directly with our R&D team to push initiatives forward by overseeing a wide variety of projects from conceptual design through implementation. This role works directly with both Research, Technology and Aquatic Leadership and covers the entire scope of the research & development process. 

Role Details

  • Work cross-functionally to enable Aquatic to scale across research & development capability building and identify, implement process improvements across research & development projects
  • In each project, you will gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, develop and communicate recommendations to senior leadership in collaboration with research & development colleagues
  • Build comprehensive project plans that merge R&D requirements with company goals and coordinate various personnel across all project phases, from initial development through implementation

Technical Experience: 

  • Background in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Organizational skills that can be applied to overseeing project from inception to completion

Candidate Qualities: 

  • 3-5 years of experience, ideally in a top-tier technology firm or start-up with a focus on data science / business operations; may also come from management consulting data science backgrounds
  • Rigorous analytical skills and experience with data analysis and/or light software engineering tasks
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of organizing and delivering cross-functional projects with explicit timelines
  • Strong bias for action
  • Driven by accountability and internal urgency
  • Comfortable providing and receiving actionable feedback in a collaborative team setting
  • Motivated by an ambitious environment and driven colleagues 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholders
