Ana Catarina Silva completed their education with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Aquaculture from Wageningen University & Research, from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Marine Biology from Universidade do Algarve, from 2005 to 2008.
In addition to their degrees, Ana also holds a certification in Scuba Diving from the World Underwater Federation. Ana Catarina obtained this certification, known as the Scuba Diving International Certificate CMAS - P1 -, in November 2004.
