Karen Setty

Karen Setty is an accomplished professional in environmental sciences and public health with extensive experience managing research translation and development initiatives. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Research Translation at Aquaya since November 2021, Setty supports the REAL-Water program, focusing on enhancing water supply safety in rural areas of low- and middle-income countries. Previous roles include Lead Health Scientist at ICF, where Setty contributed to systematic reviews and scientific reports for public sector clients, and an ORISE Participant at the US Environmental Protection Agency, conducting research on environmental exposures. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences and Engineering from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, a Master's in Environmental Science and Management from UC Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor's in Environmental Biology from the University of Dayton.
