Matt Lewis has a diverse range of work experience in both technical and leadership roles. Matt has worked as a Founding Engineer at Aqueduct Software since 2023. Prior to this, they were a Technical Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Asia Actual Data, where they designed and deployed the architecture for their first product, the Registration Optimized Search Engine (ROSE), and managed offshore teams of developers. Matt also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Mothership, where they designed and developed backend services for new mobile apps. Matt held roles as a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead at Workrise, where they led teams in rebuilding the company's transaction-processing system and designed a serverless solution to improve staffing operations. Earlier in their career, Matt worked as a Data Scientist/Software Developer at San Jacinto College, where they designed and deployed the Pathways Mapping Toolkit and developed predictive analytics models. Matt also worked as a Mathematics Professor at San Jacinto College, where they redesigned online mathematics instruction and developed new online courses. Additionally, Matt served as a Regional Coordinator at the Charles A. Dana Center, a Faculty Advisory Council Member at the American Association of Community Colleges, an Analytics Consultant at Lee College, and a Research Assistant at the University of Houston. Throughout their career, Matt has demonstrated expertise in various technologies and has contributed to the development of innovative solutions.

Matt Lewis completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Finance from Southern Arkansas University from 2002 to 2006. Matt then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Mathematics at the University of Houston from 2007 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Matt has also obtained several certifications. In December 2017, they completed the "Advanced Data Structures in Java" certification from Coursera. In November 2017, they obtained both the "Data Structures and Performance" and "Object-Oriented Programming in Java" certifications, also from Coursera.
