Mieke Fonteyn

Mieke Fonteyn has a solid background in the coffee industry with experience in various leadership roles. Mieke currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at % ARABICA since 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Retail at Peet's Coffee from September 2022 to May 2023, where they were responsible for overseeing all retail coffeebar locations in the US. Mieke also held the role of Senior Director of Operations & Field Support at Peet's Coffee from December 2020 to November 2022, where they played a key role in creating and implementing new platforms for testing and national expansion. Before joining Peet's Coffee, Mieke worked as a Regional Director at Caribou Coffee, leading the operations for 65 locations and executing a conversion strategy to Peet's Coffee. Mieke also worked as a Coffee Roaster & Operations Support at Kohana Coffee, where they focused on supporting female farmers in the industry and launching a cold brew bottled beverage platform. Mieke's early experience includes roles at Starbucks Coffee Company, where they served as a District Manager and Store Manager.

Mieke Fonteyn obtained an Associate of Arts - AA degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Bergen Community College, where they studied from 1999 to 2002. Mieke also received a certification in "How to Set Boundaries and Protect Your Time" from LinkedIn in 2021.
