At Arbital Health, we are accelerating the shift from fee-for-service agreements to value-based care agreements. We do this by building a neutral, third-party platform that allows our customers to design, measure, and adjudicate value-based care agreements that maximize resources and help patients get the care they need to thrive. Arbital Health has recently acquired the leading firm of Santa Barbara Actuaries, and will continue SBA's important work in quantifying value creation in healthcare and driving efficiencies in healthcare delivery. Actuaries joining Arbital Health will support our mission to build technology to help companies design and measure outcome-based contracts, and ultimately help Arbital serve as the neutral third-party adjudicator to assess if care outcomes are fulfilled.

Arbital Health Actuaries:

  • Review code, methodology, and analysis from analysts
  • Manage data requirements, evaluate appropriateness of data, problem solve any issues with internal data and customer’s data
  • Project manage customer engagements
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders
  • Make recommendations based on analysis and communicate results and solutions to meet client needs
  • Increasingly own customer relationships and serve as customers' primary point of contact.
  • Increase efficiency through process standardization processes
  • Model financial outcomes, drivers of healthcare trends, and identify risks
  • Collaborate with our software team to design, develop and deploy our third party adjudication software.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) required; Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience working with medical claims data
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent collaborator and teammate
  • Diligent time management and prioritization
  • Strong technical skills (Excel, R, Python)
  • Interest in solving some of healthcare’s toughest problems
