AJ Fillo, Ph.D.

AJ Fillo, Ph.D. has a diverse range of work experience. In their most recent role at Arbor, Fillo worked as a Sr. Combustion Engineer, focusing on fighting climate change. Prior to that, Fillo worked as a Freelance Video Producer, managing video production and film crews for various projects. At Relativity Space, Fillo held multiple roles, including Staff Additive Development Responsible Engineer, Lead Manufacturing Engineer, and Propulsion Integration Engineer II. These roles involved working on cutting-edge 3D printing methods, manufacturing processes for rocket components, and rocket engine integration. Before Relativity Space, Fillo worked at WET (Design) as a Lead Fluids Engineer, overseeing the design and manufacturing of fountain features. Fillo also has experience in academia, having worked as a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Oregon State University. Additionally, Fillo has industry experience as an Engineering Intern at ATI Specialty Materials. This varied experience demonstrates Fillo's expertise in combustion engineering, additive manufacturing, and fluid dynamics.

AJ Fillo, Ph.D., obtained their education in the field of Mechanical Engineering. AJ completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at Oregon State University from 2011 to 2014. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University, which they completed between 2014 and 2016. Their educational journey then led him to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University, where they conducted research from 2014 to 2019.
