Alan Berry

Alan Berry is an accomplished leader in the biotechnology sector, currently serving as VP of Technical Groups in R&D at ADM since October 2024. Earlier, Alan held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Elo Life Systems from July 2023 to November 2024 and led Berry BioConsulting as a biotech industry R&D leader and consultant from February 2023 to August 2023. Alan was the Chief Technology Officer at Curie Co between May 2022 and May 2023. Prior experience includes a tenure at Novozymes, North America, where Alan was Senior Director of Microbial Development from October 2016 to May 2022 and held multiple roles at Novozymes, Inc. from January 2006 to October 2016, including Managing Director and Director of Microbial Physiology & High Throughput Screening. Alan's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the State University of New York at Binghamton and postdoctoral research in Microbiology at the University of Illinois Health Sciences Center at Chicago.
